Salary: £20,000-23,000 + benefits

 

The role is to be a key member of the Financial Accounting team, managing some of the key financial processes. The team is a small team so the candidate will be expected to be able to cover other roles as required (e.g. holiday cover) and be flexible to swap responsibilities in the team as the need arises.

 

Experience required:



  • 1+ years’ experience working in a busy finance team


  • Sales/Purchase Ledger experience


  • Understanding basic double entry accounting


  • Minimum GCSE level in Math’s and English at grade C or above


  • Studying for AAT


Computer Skills:

Medium level of proficiency in Excel, be able to create new spreadsheets and manage

existing spreadsheets

Hands on experience of processing transactions on other ledger-based accounting packages

Be able to pick up new systems and processes quickly

 

The key responsibilities will be:

Raising Sales Invoices

Amending revenue and invoicing forecasts if necessary

Requesting customer POs

Credit control and query resolution

Employee expense processing

Assisting with preparation and posting of month end journals

Covering team responsibilities (cash book, purchase ledger, expenses)

Other ad hoc accounting duties
