My client is looking for an enthusiastic Product Testing Technician to maintain, support and develop their product testing systems, strategies, and processes. In this newly created role within the company the Product Testing Technician will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved in product design, product development, engineering, and product support. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and a vested interest in automotive and motorsport technology. This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable and ambitious technician to join a team that provides technical solutions to solve complex problems for their global client base.
The role will include creating and enhancing test cases, creating and using testing tools, and working directly with product testing staff members on product testing exercises. Other projects include performance testing, scenario testing, building and executing regression testing strategies, automation testing and supporting user acceptance activities.
Must Haves
· Experience and understanding of automotive and motorsport-based technologies
· Vested interest in technology
· Strong communication skills
· Driving license is required for real world testing activities
Experience and skills requirements
· Knowledge of automotive/motorsport products
· Well-spoken / Good communication skills, including active listening and empathy
· Vested interest in technology, anything related to our products would be advantageous
· Able to create and present well written and structured work

To ensure products are tested, signed off and released in the most efficient and effective way possible, the Testing Technician will:
· Build and execute test cases for vehicle test validations systems.
· Negotiate and agree actions and timescales for testing tasks with key project members.
· Create and utilise testing tools for product testing exercises.
· Report back to management and project staff on testing progress.
· Providing guidance to the product testing team where required.
· Contribute to project planning and decision making.
· Monitor, evaluate and measure the progress of testing tasks.
· Create, maintain and archive product test sheets.
Specific performance measurements
· Ensure product testing tasks are achieved in a timely manner.
· Ensure the high quality and accuracy of product testing including documentation.
· Regular reporting on testing progress.
· Continuous development of knowledge regarding product testing methods and strategies.
· Actively participate in offered training opportunities.
· Attend regular performance reviews including quality and accuracy of work.
Agreed additional duties
There may be occasions when the role requires duties to be performed outside of normal working hours. These may include, but are not limited to, product testing activities, attending external events, attending internal and external training courses.

Qualifications and other prerequisites
· Experience and understanding of automotive and motorsport-based technologies.
Not mandatory but worth considering for continuous self-development:
· Engineering degree or equivalent
· Experience and knowledge of current product testing practices
· Certificate or higher in ISTQB
· Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python
