Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits. Based in Warrington
An experienced Software Product Owner is sought to join a BI Team, to drive delivery of BI solutions across the product portfolio. Their Agile methodology is based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), which means you will be part of a Scrum Team, working directly with development and QA staff, whilst collaborating closely with Product Managers from a planning and vision perspective.
Essential:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience prioritising across often conflicting requirements
Confidence to make often difficult decisions
Extensive experience with IT systems/requirements for the healthcare industry
Software product design experience, preferably in the healthcare domain
Extensive knowledge of BI systems
Advantageous:
Knowledge of the Carflow EPR product suite
An understanding of NHS reporting requirements
Agile Development Methodologies
Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework
Authoring User Stories
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the team backlog:
Accepting requirements onto the backlog (or not!!)
Authoring user stories
Prioritising
Performing just-in-time story elaboration with the team
Driving the iteration ensuring priorities remain correct and any dependencies within and across teams are managed
Co-planning the release with Product Management and Release Train Engineers
Collaborating with product management to define the vision and ensure ongoing maintenance requirements are accommodated
Authoring end user documentation
Managing and reporting on the team’s progress
The product set is large and the product teams widely distributed. You will need to excel at communicating your ideas to audiences large and small in whatever format you have available.
The team collaborate and help each other out, even if things are not going their way.
The team listen and adapt - Agile is a progressive movement in the organisation and teams constantly learns from the wider community and from each other. They learn as they go and provide training to keep all skills current and relevant.
