Salary: up to £27,000 + benefits
The Internal Technical Services (ITS) Team are responsible for the installation and support for all Technical Platforms, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems and associated products delivered internally.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the IT Engineer will work alongside specialists within the Team, taking responsibility for all aspects of the ITS Team’s work. With emphasis on the Technical Services function, you will be managing and supporting the infrastructure upon which the organisation operates, with the opportunity to be involved in new and emerging projects from their inception.
The IT Engineer will work closely with the numerous departments that comprise the company, ensuring that our comprehensive support service is maintained and therefore sustaining the strong inter-departmental relationships that have been forged to date.
The successful candidate will be provided with on-the-job training for all supported Platforms, Operating Systems, Databases and Applications, but is expected to have prior experience of Microsoft Azure, Networking and Windows Server Technologies.
Basic Requirements:
· Provision of first-class support to internal customers and systems
· Provision of help, advice and support to other members of the Team and Company
· Management and Pro-Active Monitoring of our Azure Cloud footprint
· Management and Support of Microsoft Intune for devices and applications
· Management and Support of network components for all Managed Service Platforms
· Implementation of Application Patching and System Upgrades
· Adherence to Company and Team Policies and Working Practices
· Involvement in office-cover rota, between 08:00 and 18:00, with commitment to work outside of these hours when required
Essentials:
· Minimum of three years in a Technical Support or Engineer-based role
· Windows Server Platform System Administration
· Microsoft Azure Management & Administration
· Microsoft Intune Management & Administration
· Experience of Virtualisation Technologies (including Hyper-V and VMware)
· Experience of Networking Concepts, Topologies and Maintenance
· Experience of Service Monitoring and Alerting
· Experience of routine Infrastructure Upgrades and Application Patching
· Excellent:
o Verbal and Written Communication Skills
o Demonstrable Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills
o Documentation Skills, producing guides and supporting knowledgebase articles
o Organisational Skills, with the ability to manage personal workloads in accordance with agreed timescales, whilst working under pressure

· Ability to explain technical concepts to key stakeholders of all levels
· Experience of Service Desk Systems
· Experience of Third Party issue management and liaising

· Ivanti Security Essentials (Patch Management)
· Thycotic Privileged Access Management
· Mimecast E-Mail Security Management
· SQL Server, SQL MI and NoSQL basic administration
· Windows Failover Cluster Management
· Windows PowerShell Administration / Scripting skills
· Knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus (CE+) compliance
· Knowledge of ITIL Foundation principles and application
· Knowledge of ISO27001, ISO27018 and ISO9001 Certification
· Relevant Vendor certifications
