Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 DOE
The Marketing Manager (B2B) will take an overall responsibility for shaping and implementing our clients’ annual lead generation plans and activities to grow the pool of prospective corporate clients. Cooperating closely with Corporate Sales Team, you will own the demand generation for this audience and drive strategies and tactics to generate awareness, interest, and desire to interact with organisation. You will be equally influencing the shape of the prospective sales lead journey and overseeing marketing automation plans for your audience segment and implementing these in our clients corporate CRM system.
The post holder will also take the lead on a range of operational marketing projects aimed at this audience, that span across all marketing channels – whether sector or subject-specific thought leadership events, webinars, materials, or content. Creation, delivery, and evaluation of operational marketing plans will be the paramount responsibility, while delivery of all corresponding activities will be supported by a team of copywriters, web editors, and creative designers. You will line manage Marketing and Events Executive (B2B), who will assist you in successful delivery and coordination of the work. Successful candidate will manage and develop the team in line with the changing requirements of the market.
Marketing Manager (B2B) will ensure that relevant internal stakeholders (senior leaders and
product owners of our client’s corporate proposition) are fully engaged in the marketing activities for their respective areas, and fully informed of their progress and impact. You will provide regular report updates and attend management team meetings to ensure this. It is essential that the role holder is able to bring innovative ideas to showcase the company brand and articulate it appropriately for various segments of our clients audience and drive new sales for the companies corporate proposition. Understanding of the competitive environment, customer needs and the ability to work creatively and lead with strategic goals in mind are essential.
Responsible for:
· Within the strategic direction set by the Director of Marketing and Sales, and Head of Marketing and Customer Experience, and in partnership with the Sales Team lead on creating comprehensive and effective operational marketing plans to deliver activities required to successfully engage new prospective corporate clients
· Together with the Director of Marketing and Sales and corporate sales team, driving appropriate levels of audience segmentation to deliver personalised and relevant advertising campaigns (industry specific, or needs-based segmentation)
· Working closely with the product team, leading the articulation of the value proposition for product / services to all segments of corporate audiences, ensuring campaigns are both resonant with wide audiences, yet even more impactful amongst key decisionmakers
· Developing and implementing B2B Marketing plans to attract and convert new clients, establish the company as a highly credible and aspirational partner, driving ROI and meeting lead generation targets
· Ensure that operational marketing plan for each segment of our corporate audiences is a ‘live’ document that is regularly reviewed and discussed with all relevant colleagues (Client Engagement Managers, Sales Team and key leaders across the organisation) and appropriate action is undertaken and monitored on an on-going basis
· Identifying the right media channels – both digital and traditional (esp. events) to target relevant audiences and deliver marketing activities with high ROI
· Manage industry conferences and events including selection, registration, logistics and measurement of ROI
· Oversee and manage budget relating to all B2B marketing and event activities
· B2B research and content development in close partnership with our clients leadership advisors, and key senior managers in Work + Family space
· Collaborate with the content team to generate, collate and brief fresh messages and content that are regularly and efficiently disseminated (either through paid campaign channels, or owned social and communication media channels, this includes stories showcasing satisfaction, excellence, achievement, i.e. emotive and fresh photography, video, client testimonials, key selling points, etc)
· In conjunction with Client Engagement Managers support the successful delivery of Client Engagement events for both existing and new clients
· Source and liaise with external suppliers such as advertising, marketing and branding agencies, media providers and suppliers to deliver value for money for our clients marketing services
· Overseeing all marketing activities for our clients prospective corporate clients and ensuring messages that have clear content and (where applicable) call to action and actively encourage target audiences to interact with the company
· Support Research and Insight Manager in the development of relevant marketing insight, including benchmarking tools and analysis, to understand activities undertaken by competitors with a focus on marketing, lead generation, digital assets and brand management
· Keep abreast of new marketing techniques to ensure our clients activities respond to the target audience’s needs
· Manage and develop team members effectively; setting objectives, reviewing performance regularly and identifying training and development needs
· Provide regular marketing and recruitment reports on key information, for example, number of enquiries received, publications downloaded, web hits driven by our clients marketing campaigns, etc. as well as impact of advertising campaigns and other activities
Essential Experience:
· Evidence of operational marketing management in a HR or Benefits sector , incl.
· significant experience in campaign development and implementation, including drawing on research and insight, tracking and ROI reporting
· Evidence of successful development and delivery of marketing collateral across all channels and for various audiences, under brand umbrella
· Strong understanding and experience using and implementing brand guidelines for a large global institution experience of working with complex multi-audience brands
· Experience in producing recommendation and reports for internal stakeholders
· Experience of managing projects delivering innovation, change or improvements
· People management skills – ideally across a large team, leading and directing multiple team members in a busy task-oriented environment
· Excellent communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills, required to cooperate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders combined with driven and assertive personality
Desirable:
· Experience of managing marketing campaigns for B2B audiences
· Experience of managing external agencies
Qualifications
· Degree or equivalent and/or professional marketing qualification or experience
