Daily rate: up to £450



We are looking for an iOS Developer to work within an Agile team focused on adding functionality to their IT Healthcare application. The candidate will be expected to work alongside fellow software developers and contribute to Sprint work including feature work and product maintenance and improvements, to deliver the Definition of Done for each item of work assigned to you. This will involve interpreting requirements, creating/amending

code and unit tests, documentation, and software testing. You will also be expected to investigate, document, and resolve software issues.

 

As a developer within the team, you should be accountable for your own work, and as part of the team’s overall performance, independently communicating with colleagues to clarify estimates, requirements, blockers and acceptance criteria to deliver solutions to agreed timescales. Exercise judgment within the bounds of defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Be confident in contributing to the overall software design and estimation for features and modules. In addition, you should be prepared to learn about our client’s architecture and give opinions to help them make sure their services can cope with tomorrow’s demands.

 

It is crucial our client’s developers are eager to take on greater responsibilities and really drive the role forward.

 

You’ll need to be enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to present your own ideas.

 

Requirements:

 

Applicants need to have experience in:

 

·         Developing native iPhone, iPad and universal Applications using XCode in Objective-C and Swift

·         Using UIKit to build flexible user interfaces in Storyboards and code using Autolayout

·         Consuming REST APIs to develop data driven applications

·         Working within a microservice architecture for interacting with API’s produced by multiple areas of the business

·         Developing universal views based on UI/UX wireframes – ability to translate, contribute to and interpret design requirements

·         Using Cocoapods to build modular software

·         Knowledge of iOS Security features such as the device keychain and encryption

·         Knowledge of analytics tools such as Microsoft App Center

·         Source control tools such as git-based development environments

·         Working within an Agile development environment

·         Experience with tools associated to agile development such as Jira, Confluence

·         Working with several different file formats including JSON

 

In addition; familiarity with any of the following would be favourable:

·         Realm mobile database

·         Windows Azure or AWS

·         A good understanding of CICD and exposure to TeamCity, Octopus deploy or similar

·         Service orientated architecture

·         Infrastructure as a service

·         JavaScript and HTML

·         Continuous integration & automated testing

·         TDD/BDD
