Salary: up to £28,000 depending on experience + benefits
Our client, going through a growth period are seeking an experienced and reliable internal sales / customer service person to help in the sales office. You will have interactions with UK and European customers, support the Field Sales team and assist in maximising sales opportunities.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
· Worked in a Business-to-business office-based sales environment for minimum of 5 years
· Internal Sales and Customer Service experience essential
· Organised, analytical and detailed approach to your work
· Accurate order & data entry skills
· The ability to communicate effectively & efficiently with customers, representatives and colleagues, inspiring confidence at multiple levels
· Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and the ability to quickly become familiar with the company’s systems and procedures
· A positive confident personality
· An enthusiastic, energetic, committed and team-oriented approach
· Ownership of the role
· Flexibility and ability to remain calm when under pressure
· Commercial awareness with a strong business focus
· Any European language is desirable but not essential
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Numerate
· Ability to build effective relationships
· Ability to work within a small team and with staff at all levels and with partner organisations and clients

QUALIFICATIONS
· Preferred 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, or evidence of suitable experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for liaising with European Customers, and internal departments in UK and USA to ensure efficient transition from initial contact to product delivery. This includes:
· Compiling pricing and preparing Quotations
· Customer drawing and specification review
· Quote follow up
· Contract review
· Order entry
· Handling customer complaints
· Logistics support
· Maintaining professional customer contact by email or phone
· Adherence to all company policies, procedures ensuring that all processes and procedures comply with operational and statutory requirements
· Be vigilant of deficiencies in business operations and pass on any unresolved or continuing issues and recommendations to the Inside Sales Manager
· Carry out any other duties necessary with a willingness to be flexible with working hours to respond to the needs of the company
· Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time
· Undertake training consistent with developing skills relevant to those duties and responsibilities of the role
· Be vigilant in matters relating to health and safety within and external to the company’s offices
