Azure Cloud Architect

Salary: up to £65,000



Our clients developers impact millions of people every day through their range of healthcare software systems. They are looking for a talented and experienced Cloud Architect to join our Architecture team.

 

The person we are looking for will need to have 2+ years of commercial experience with Azure, who can demonstrate a real passion for cloud architecture, with a flexible and creative attitude, good communication skills and a strong work ethic.

 

Working within an existing team that is focused on creating a scalable and resilient cloud hosting model, taking ideas from proof of concept to productization. The individual will have a workload covering (but not limited to):

 

·         Advising teams on improvements to cloud hosted products

·         Creating solutions that fit well within the existing Azure estate and methodology

·         Clean hand-over of well-understood solutions to the SRE team

·         Helping product teams understand best-practise for cloud-hosted systems

·         Performance analysis and tuning

·         Security reviews and risk mitigation

·         Building services that are resilient and scalable

·         Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and advising how they can be used to improve the existing architecture

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

 

Must Have:

 

·         Understanding of cloud architecture concepts and best practise

·         Experience with building resilient and fault tolerant solutions

·         Proven experience of migrating existing on-prem apps to a cloud hosted model

·         Excellent C# skills

·         A thorough understanding of Azure components. Key areas:

o Service Bus topics and subscriptions

o Event Hub

o Azure Functions

o Cosmos DB

o Azure SQL

·         Familiarity with patterns used to create well architected solutions

·         An understanding of securing data exchange over wide area networks

·         A proven track record of delivering successful projects

 

Advantageous:

 

·         Containerisation in the Azure platform

·         Health Care and Clinical systems

·         Experience working within an Agile development environment

·         Developed high availability multi-user system

·         Microsoft certification(s) in Azure

Location: Warrington, Cheshire - Can be home based with visits to site 2/3 times a month
