Salary: £30,000 to £35,000
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation of an electronic patient record, transforming existing paper clinical content or other media types into an electronic format (Clinical Narrative and Care Plans)
The post holder will support the Solution Consultants who will be engaging with clinical staff and other project stakeholders to support the move to an electronic patient record with their primary focus being developing and configuration of necessary components of the electronic patient record (Clinical Narrative and Care Plans). This will require the post holder to also support process design of future state patient pathways, identifying where clinical content is generated, optimising existing patient pathways, ensuring that the electronic clinical content will allow clinical users to do their job as efficiently, safely as possible.
Skills and Personal Specification:
Skills required
· Knowledge of, and/or experience in the NHS and health sector would be preferred
· The post holder must have experience of planning and organising their own day to day activities, including workload management, and formulating and adjusting plans to reflect changing circumstances
· Customer focused and trained to a high standard of customer services
· Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow through on actions
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills both orally and in writing
· Ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate work for team and themselves
· Excellent presentation skills both orally and in writing
· Previous management/team leader experience is desirable but not essential
· Strong relationship building, influencing, and negotiating skills
· Team leadership skills including team building and coaching of individual staff is desirable
· Ability to work without supervision and on own initiative
· Able to work away from home and willingness to travel essential
Person Specification
· Healthcare deployment experience desirable
· Knowledge of software and technology – desirable not essential
· Strong interest in Information Technology
· Healthcare supplier experience desirable
· EPR content development or EPR configuration development desirable
· Experience of creating user/training guides, customer focused documentation, workflow maps desirable
Main Responsibilities:
· Developing and configuration of necessary components of the electronic patient records (e.g. Clinical Narrative & Care Plans, Data Items, Task definitions etc), ensuring that the business requirements are met and completely in line with what is expected
· Designing, developing prototypes, building, and validating new clinical content along with the documentation that will be required for the clinical content
· Supporting user requirement analysis with the relevant teams and performing usability evaluations of these forms
· Ensuring all business specifications/ requirements are captured and that form content supports accurate reporting
· Complete design of forms and specifications through close co-operation with the customer facing Solution team as well product development teams and our Subject Matter Experts
· Support presentations for stakeholder sessions with regards to business requirements for electronic capture
· Be able to present to stakeholder and support iterative evaluation and improvement of the forms built and conducting usability testing
· Preparing content in preparation for meetings with the end users and establishing relationships with external and internal stakeholders
· Participation in testing, ensuring issues raised regarding forms are dealt with in a timely manner in line with service level agreements
· Documenting issues and risks where they arise
· Escalation of issues and risks to senior members of teams where required
· Expected to manage their own workload and work within the defined deadlines
· Supporting end user testing / training
· Project controls – risk and issue management, reporting
· Ensure clinical / patient safety remains paramount throughout any process changes or transition to electronic recording
· Provision of weekly report to be submitted to the EPR Delivery Manager
