Our client (a major brand) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Power Control Engineer, to join their existing team.
You must have experience of:
· Coordination of commissioning programs and operational data
· Power system analysis of electricity flows
· Understanding principles of real and reactive power flow and voltage
Description
The Key Responsibilities for the Power Control Engineer are:
· Coordination of commissioning programs and operational data
· Power system analysis of electricity flows
· Understanding principles of real and reactive power flow, and voltage
· Experience and clear understanding of a safe system of work
· Ensuring the provision of appropriate SCADA displays and PSS/E models prior to network changes
· In real time, commissioning and switching up to 400kV
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
· A minimum of an HNC in electrical engineering and will ideally have experience as a senior authorised person. (SAP)
· You will have a relevant background in electrical power system operation
· Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders
· You will be a team player and work well in a knowledge sharing culture
· A flexible and proactive approach to work in order to achieve results and thrive under pressure
· Previous experience working in a control room environment desirable
