Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience + pension, healthcare etc.



Working for this global brand, you will partner with sales, marketing, finance and operations to capture requirements, design and build reports and business intelligence in MicroStrategy.

 

Must Haves

 

·         Strong MicroStrategy knowledge is a must both

                 - front-end: building dossiers; visualisations; other reporting etc…

 - back-end: object creation; managing schema; user administration; security filters; subscriptions etc…

·         Sound SQL skills – experience with SSMS is an advantage

·         Good understanding of core business terminology regarding sales & operations and finance

·         Great communication skills; able to engage with key stakeholders and translate business requests to BI development

 

Some more requirements

 

·         Extensive experience of working with MicroStrategy

·         SQL skills that allow you to extract data comfortably and independently from databases, build queries, stored procedures etc.

·         Experience in building new and improving existing MicroStrategy dashboards and reports

·         Experienced data warehouse modeller

·         Ability to scope a problem, access relevant data and provide insights from the data

·         Expert in Excel with a proven track record.

·         Understanding of key financial and operational performance metrics

·         Experience of working with multiple functions (e.g. finance, sales, marketing, operations)

·         Experience in providing training and support to MicroStrategy users

·         Demonstrable business partnering skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal

·         Strong organisational skills, including the ability to deal with multiple issues and prioritize

·         Independent worker that can operate effectively in a team environment

·         Strong analytical thinker

·         Results and task driven

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

Reporting and Business Intelligence

 

·         Collaborate with management to capture reporting requirements

·         Recommend and implement best practice for reporting

·         Develop reports and dashboards in MicroStrategy, both in scheduled and interactive form

·         Work as a business partner with marketing, finance, sales and operations teams to tackle business challenges, build insightful reporting and track performance with a data driven approach

·         Leverage SQL, MicroStrategy, excel and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports

·         Analyse data to identify business problems and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis

·         Maintain a deep understanding of business drivers and a grasp of business metric definitions

 

Information Analysis/Modelling

 

·         Information / Data modelling and documentation

·         ETL design for capturing data from external sources (SSIS knowledge is preferable)

·         Report technical analysis, form factor and document design

 

Data Warehouse

 

·         Model data warehouse structures with re-usable dimensions

·         Set-up and maintain futureproof, solid structure

·         Database schematics design and documentation

 

Training and support

 

·         User training for self-service environment

·         Provide support for BI questions / issues



Job Title: BI Analyst



 



Location: Theale / Reading area ideally for Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 from home), however, if you live further afield within the UK or Europe, you will still be considered so long as you can get to one of the offices, once a month



Salary: £Negotiable



Hours of Work: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (based on local hours where candidate is located)
