Salary: £28,000 to £35,000+ 22 days holiday + bank holidays



This an opportunity to work for a fast-growing organisation. The company has grown quickly and continues to grow through acquisition. Our client are part of a UK wide group of ICT (Information & Communications Technology) experts enabling businesses to work smarter through technology. They specialise in the design, implementation, and support of a range of Cloud services and business applications including IT managed services, IT infrastructure support, hosted collaboration, and mobile communication solutions. The helpdesk area have great team spirit and work together well as a team. They encourage their employees to develop their tech knowledge and skill set by enabling self-study and tech courses through Udemy.

Providing remote telephone & onsite support for SMB and Enterprise customers

 

Provide technical advice and practical assistance to clients and end users including the following functions:

 

·         Assisting in 1st 2nd & some 3rd line technical support to our client's dealing support queries

·         Resolving customer and IT issues both remotely and with onsite visit’s where required

·         Provide troubleshooting for server & network infrastructure support

·         Perform server and infrastructure maintenance

·         Assist in project work such as server replacements O365 implementations & migrations AV and Firewall implementations PC/Laptop Install’s and migrations

·         Troubleshoot and resolve Internet connectivity & Wi-Fi issues

 

Skills required / desired

 

·         Excellent problem solving and trouble-shooting skills with an ability to isolate problems to specific – parts of a system and diagnose under tight time constraints

·         Good all-round knowledge including resolving issues with PC’s networks and networked devices (printers, scanners, switches etc)

·         Performing System administration and maintenance

·         To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues

·         Creating and updating technical documentation including work instructions standard operating procedures/manuals

·         Willing to travel to customer sites within the UK (company transport provided)

·         A passion for a wide range of enterprise grade infrastructure technology is essential (networking server and endpoint cloud security)

·         A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar IT role

 

Experience of working with and supporting a range of information technologies the following preferred:

 

·         Currently working for an MSP providing IT support to multiple SMBs

·         Microsoft technologies: 365 Azure/Windows/AD/Server OS Cyber security: firewalls/web filters/advanced protection and recovery Cloud technologies

·         Hyper-V

·         Back-up solutions: Veeam

·         Experience supporting Apple MAC would be beneficial Willing to travel to customer sites within the UK (company transport provided).

·         A passion for a wide range of enterprise grade infrastructure technology is essential (networking server and endpoint cloud security)

·         A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar IT role

·         Experience of working with and supporting a range of information technologies
