Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 + pension, parking, healthcare
As a standalone Human Resources Manager, you will be offering generalist human resource advice to both manufacturing and office-based management, delivering a proactive and flexible HR service.
Supporting on everything from complex Employee Relations matters to strategic business projects, you will be the voice of HR for the company. You will provide relevant and appropriate support to all employees, ensuring that there remains a people focus at the heart of the company.
You will be able to influence and support other managers in the business with change, as well as the day-to-day operational and generalist HR management. You will work on projects and strategy around talent management, employee engagement, and well-being, adopting the role of both mentor and coach.
You will ideally be an all-rounder, excellent communication skills, confidence to work alone and to be assertive to problem solve, and of course ask for help when needed.

Responsibilities and Duties – include but not limited to:
· Develop and implement HR projects and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
· Provide advice on the application of procedures for disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, performance, recruitment, and employment law matters of varying complexity, encouraging a culture of delivery through the empowering of managers
· Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each and every person you come into contact with, nurturing and promoting a positive working environment
· Provide monthly HR reports to the Senior Management Team, detailing key elements of departmental performance
· Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
· Create, input and store confidential or sensitive data relating to employee relations, ensuring that company policies and procedures are adhered to
· Manage the recruitment and selection across the business, leading on the advertising of roles, supporting with selection processes and providing detailed benchmarking and/or job evaluation as required
· Undertake analysis of workforce information and compile reports for Senior Management, highlighting and addressing any areas of concern
· Support managers as required in investigatory meetings and formal hearings, providing templates or taking part as required, producing notes and outcome documents - ensuring unwavering compliance with employment law, policy and best practice
· Plan and organise complex HR projects i.e. organisational change
· Ensure the standardisation of HR practices, policies and procedures across the business
· Support recruitment strategies by providing detailed benchmarking and/or job evaluation as required by relevant stakeholders
· Support H&S staff with relevant investigations and accident procedures
· Manage the internal GDPR requirements of the business specifically covering employees and their data
· Support current and future business needs through people development, upskilling, engagement, and retention
· Oversee and manage the annual appraisal process to drive high performance
· Support the pay review process, communicating any changes with employees in a timely manner
· Assess training needs, providing in house, or sourcing external training providers as required
· Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
· Take ownership of employee related paperwork, such as employee contracts, new starter packs, employee files, etc, always ensuring 100% legal compliance
· Create, review and update company policies and procedures as required
· Oversee and manage company employee communications, relaying the company message in a manner consistent with the business culture
· Lead on the organisation of events and initiatives relating to employees, such as Christmas parties and staff away days
· Ensure legal compliance throughout Human Resources
· Prepare documentation and related tasks required in the defence of any employment claims, including attendance at Employment Tribunals, working closely with any representation provided by the company
· Maintain the confidentiality of the business in regards staff information
· Manage relationships and terms with both recruitment agencies and temporary contract agencies
· Ensure ongoing professional development to remain up to date with all relevant legislation, providing information to relevant changes in a timely manner to maintain business compliance
· Work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations at all times
