Salary: £70,000 – Pension, Parking, Healthcare, Training and Development
Our client is a firm of engineering consultants who take care to understand their clients’ needs. They help manage residential property and development risk, without over-designing, over-promising or over-charging.
Responsible for overseeing the successful technical and commercial execution of projects and managing the personnel and resources. TheAssociate Director (a pivotal addition to the team) will be a client-orientated and capable communicator, able to develop strong relationships with clients and fellow professionals to secure repeat business in residential housing building sector.
The company is of medium size and have been growing 20% year on year, so there is potential to progress to Partner level for those that are more ambitious.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Enhancing andgrowingthe reputation of the company
· Project Manager for projects led by the team delivering on time and on budget
· Technical delivery
· Coordinationwith other Disciplines and Regions of thebusiness
· Technical compliance with all statutory and Quality Management System processes and procedures
· Financialand commercial responsibility
· Recruitment and selection, training and appraisal of technical staff
· Linemanagement of staff and pastoral issues
Communication:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Share knowledge and information widely with your colleagues
· Develop effective client relationships
· Able to represent the business at meetings and provide advice to clients on complex engineering matters
· Able to negotiate commercial/financial matters
Qualifications and Experience:
· Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) – preferred but relevant experience would be considered
· Member of relevantprofessional institution
· Ability in engineering design & reporting
