Salary: £60,000 to £85,000 + benefits
Our client is expanding their team by THREE for the role of Functional Consultant in Oracle Applications. There are three “must haves” for each available role they are as follows:
Role 1– Have strong knowledge on Oracle Payroll & Time & Labour Modules – Understands Absence – Be able to write fast formulae – Be customer facing – Be able to Configure
Role 2– Strong knowledge on HCM – Recruitment Modules – Configuration experience of 5+ years
Role 3– Strategic workforce experience is needed – Be able to Configure – Core HCM
Any certifications in Oracle are of interest to the hiring manager.
Role requirements:
Essential
· Applications Senior Consultant is key in developing ERP/COTS Oracle Cloud Applications to support a customer’s business strategy. The Applications Senior Consultant is responsible for meeting the customers’ needs in terms of:
o Increasing business efficiency
o Maximising benefits from their applications and technology investments
· Applications Senior Consultants need to be experienced in implementation of their Oracle Application Module(s) specialisation and must understand how they interrelate to other modules within an integrated solution.
· Applications Senior Consultants must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of their specialisation, application modules and related business processes within their domain and be able to both configure and solution as part of a team or independently.
· Applications Senior Consultants are responsible for providing functional input into the Oracle practice and business development initiatives.
· Applications Senior Consultants are responsible for undertaking “hands on” solution implementations and must be able to work in teams or as an individual contributor including non-functional / offshore elements.
· Must have depth of understanding of typical IT landscapes and delivery approach e.g. can understand both technical and non-technical requirements, offshore and onshore blended delivery approaches
· Applications Senior Consultants must be seen as experts within their domain taking responsibility for and specialising in multiple modules and technologies within their domain.
· Applications Senior Consultants are key in mentoring junior resources to ensure the continued development of the practice and its people.
· Must have a certification in at least one Oracle module or working towards obtaining additional certifications in multiple Oracle applications
Description of role:
· Demonstrates deep knowledge of business functions / Oracle application functionality within their domain area and is seen as a “go-to” person for those functions
· Demonstrates a deep understanding and can explain the full lifecycle of a COTS applications delivery project
· Demonstrates good knowledge of implementation methodologies such as PRINCE II, OUM (Oracle) or other delivery methodologies
· Ensures the use of relevant strategic project delivery methodologies (OUM, etc.) in conjunction with agreed Veran agreed proprietary methodologies (BMS, PM Master Classes, ERP Industrialisation
· Supports pre-sales activities and customer presentations including pre-sales consulting
· Possesses sound customer facing skills
· Able to create trust with the senior clients and be seen both as a subject matter expert within a project
· Able to define, scope, plan and estimate low complexity solutions
· Develops good relationships with colleagues, partners and clients
· Possesses good communications skills and the ability to work with a range of people of with varying technical knowledge, often explaining complex concepts to colleagues and senior business users/stakeholders
· Possesses good interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence, negotiate and persuade at peer and immediate line manager level
· Shows creative thinking to address business issue, showing attention to detail
· Demonstrable ability to produce and manage production of high-quality documentation
· Demonstrates excellent time management and prioritisation skills, able to maintain strategic perspective while undertaking complex and detailed work, with proven ability to deliver results within agreed timescales and to work within tight timeframes
· Assumes responsibility for quality and delivery of products within their domain
· Acts as a point of contact for their domain or module responsibility area within the practice or on projects
· Provides quality assurance for work undertaken by junior project staff
· Encourages transfer of product knowledge and skills to both their team and to the appropriate staff within the wider organization
· Ensures generation of and re-use of project collateral where possible
· Ensures that knowledge management is undertaken, building on lessons learned and using MS SharePoint
· Acts as an ambassador for the practice and for Veran as a company
· Leads by example
· Has an Oracle certification and will provide support, and guide to others seeking to obtain a certification
