Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 + commission / bonus + car allowance (£175 per month), quarterly bonus scheme, commission payments for newly onboarded clients (20% on new sales, 10% on referrals to internal departments, HR and EB) and a suite of employee benefits.



Our client is an award-winning advisory providing centralised management and advice, using their own technology platforms for HR, Payroll, and Employee Benefit & wellbeing solutions.

 

In this Face to Face role as Employee Benefits Advisor, there is a requirement to sell to target. You should have Account Management experience, preferably in the insurance industry but you are not required to have experience of Employee benefits, although, this would be a bonus.

 

A Certificate in Insurance (CII) qualification is desirable, definitely not essential though.

Personality and ability to build relationships is really key in this role. You must be able to advise clients and carry out written work (reports etc) as well as be able to present.



JOB DESCRIPTION

 

To provide a full and complete advisory service to allocated portfolio for renewal and throughout the year. To identify and expand the existing portfolio.

 

GENERIC COMPANY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Present a positive image of self and the Group at all times;

·         Adhere to FCA regulations and requirements;

·         Attend company meetings as required, including 1:1 assessments;

·         Keep up to date with industry developments;

·         Attain minimum levels of competency as set by your line

·         manager in your personal development plan;

·         Any other tasks and duties that may be reasonably required from time to time to assist in the running of the company;

·         Undertake and achieve minimum required level for regular in-house testing.

 

MAIN JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Renewal

 

·         Work with Account Support team to understand client activity throughout year and complete Account Support Service Review Form;

·         Obtain renewal documents in good time from the insurer / provider, understand proposed pricing and email to client within SLA;

·         Follow up with client to discuss their client’s requirements for forthcoming year;

·         Use client contact opportunity to identify potential cross sale opportunities;

·         Undertake full market review if required and obtain quotes for any new business opportunity;

·         Negotiate with holding insurer / provider for discounts where applicable & make client aware of cost saving options, advising them of the ramifications of reducing benefits;

·         Negotiate with alternative insurers / providers if client wishes to switch to new insurer / provider. If health / risk related policy will take client aware of switch criteria and implications to any members have continuing claims. If healthcare scheme, advise that a declaration of health would need to be signed by Group Secretary;

·         Provide full advice and recommendation report;

·         Arrange suitable meeting (face to face/telephone/video) to discuss the recommendations made;

·         Gain confirmation of renewal in writing if possible and renew with insurer / provider and on CLAii

·         Deliver employee presentations effectively and attend benefit fairs where necessary;

·         Provide information and assistance to clients across the range of company services.

 

New Business

 

·         Actively work towards and meet new business target as outlined separately on both cross sale and new to the company new business;

·         Maximise opportunities to cross sell into HR & Payroll service areas;

·         Attend face to face and telephone appointments inviting insurers / providers where necessary;

·         Update Quote Sales Activity (QSA) portal with all new business opportunities and maintain accurate data;

·         Complete required new business forms and request contract is signed by client;

·         Send all completed documents to Hub team for upload to Client Liaison Application ii (CLAii) in good time ahead of scheme going live if possible;

·         Add accurate notes and company information on the CLAii start of scheme action;

·         Carry out employee presentations and benefit fairs.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

 

Ad hoc

 

·         Claims queries made by Group Secretaries and Members to be followed up and notes of conversations and outcomes put onto the CLAii;

·         Refer to manager if unable to obtain a good outcome for the client for further advice;

·         Any other duties that may be required to complete the task;

·         Carry out demo’s as and when required;

·         Provide Holiday/Sickness cover for other team members;

·         Insurer networking and attendance at events), sometimes outside of contractual hours;

·         Contribution to team meetings;

·         Work closely with other service areas on Multi-Service client proposition;

·         Work closely with Account Support and Hub team to ensure joined up approach to customer service.

·         Keep details of customers, their employees and dependants confidential;

·         Understand your responsibilities to Data Protection by attending mandatory training in GDPR and Cyber Security and passing the associated tests;

·         Inform your Line Manager as soon as possible if there is a breach of personal or special category data;

·         Carry out your duties with integrity;

·         Use company equipment appropriately and protect company owned mobile devices.

Maidstone– Office based full time to support your induction and training and then hybrid working once settled
