Finance Manager (Data/Tech/SaaS)

Our client is a SaaS company that specialise in data and technology and they are seeking a Finance Manager to work remotely with the occasional face to face meeting. You will report to the Executive Directors.

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Finance Manager that has experience of working with data/tech/SaaS companies.

Progression to move to a Financial Director role could happen quite quickly so you must be a self-starter and ready for such a move.

The initial requirement is to take ownership and control of the day-to-day accounts function, including producing monthly management accounts and KPI’s for board meetings.

Reporting directly to the Executive Directors, The Finance Manager will be responsible for shaping and overseeing the systems and processes to underpin the business finances, reporting and investor relations. The ideal candidate will also be an integral contributor to

the Board and senior management team as well as the strategic development of the business.  This is a hands-on role to assist in scaling up a fast growing, dynamic SaaS business.

Essential requirements

·         5 years’ experience in a similar role

·         ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified

Desirable

·         Previous experience working in a SaaS / Technology business

·         Previous experience working with QuickBooks

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

·         Build and maintain robust financial forecasts (integrated Cashflow and Balance Sheet)

·         Develop and produce a monthly board pack incorporating

·         the tracking of the value creation plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPls)

Financial Control & Systems

·         Take ownership of the accounting function, handling/overseeing all day-to-day finance operations.

·         Ensure suitable systems, processes, controls, reporting, audit and compliance are in place, taking into account anticipated growth.

·         Review and update accounting policies and ensure they are implemented appropriately.

·         Ensure management and audited accounts are produced in a timely manner.

·         Evolve and maintain appropriate financial planning and analysis for budgeting, rolling forecasts, KPls, trends and value creation.

Remote – very occasional face to face meeting – Meetings would be held in the North of the country.

Up to £65,000 depending on experience + benefits including flexible working, strict adherence to working hours for work / life balance, company pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Nest Pension.

9.00am to 5.30pm schedule, could be flexible
