Salary: £22,000 to £26,000+ 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 6 month performance reviews, £2,000 per annum training budget, pension, pool table on site, gym, ½ day holiday for your birthday.
Our client is an energy consultancy and they are seeking a Data Analyst to join their team. The company is growing and expanding quickly, there is a strong progression route from this role to energy management so you must have an interest in the energy market.
This role is junior, and therefore, I will accept application from graduates from a STEM background. Mathematical skills are required as you will be analysing in depth spreadsheets rather than basic ones. A Degree is not essential but strongly preferred. The lower end of the salary will be provided for grads starting off their career, the higher end will be for candidates with 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
· A demonstrably high level of IT literacy with the ability to manipulate, analyse and present data effectively.
· Experience of explaining data analysis and presenting reports to colleagues both on paper and in person.
· Experience of data quality management within a working context, working logically within set procedures and regulations.
· Ability to set own objectives, review progress, work within timescales and determine priorities to see tasks through to a successful outcome.
· Proven ability to work with others to discuss and agree project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
· Strong analysis skills and the ability to analyse and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions.
· A high level of attention to detail with the ability to implement checks and measures to ensure the quality and integrity of data.
Responsibilities
· Data provision and management of ongoing reporting for our clients’ various legislative requirements including: CCAs, SECR, Efficiency projects, load shifting and storage.
· Liaise with customers & Account Managers to obtain site specific data such as, production, occupancy, Operational times etc, to support the delivery of Energy Management as a Service (EMaaS) contracts.
· Collect and screen data Carbon reporting (SECR or Netzero).
· Undertake triage of data alerts for the Energy Control Centre and raise relevant alerts to the Energy managers & Customers.
· Provision of automatic reports for energy usage patterns to support audit team in identifying energy and carbon reductions.
· Support in the delivery of feasibility studies, the creation of digital twins for various clients.
· Collaborate with sales team on business development, acting as a point of reference for EMT services.
Further Information
The Energy Analyst will report directly to the Team Lead: Analytics & Reporting and support them with the analysis and reporting requirements of the wider team including the Head of Energy Management and Senior Energy Managers. Their key focus will be to assist the S/EMs with the data gathering, analysis and periodic reporting for the various services the team delivers. They will also be responsible for completing Desktop Audits, reviewing their results for data errors, periodically reviewing energy insights data (raising any issues with the EMs) and providing any requested data and administration for services like the CCA management, SECR, ESOS or EMaaS, etc. The Energy Analyst will be the field teams’ best point of contact for any data requests or any quick, bespoke analysis. Furthermore, they will be manning the energy control Centre and be responsible for reviewing the systems alarms. Furthermore, they would be best placed to screen clients identified by the Business Generation team for services like, CCA – Min/Met, SECR, etc.

Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 4.45pm and Friday, 8.45am to 4pm. 30 minute lunch.
