- Salary: IRO £35-50k doe
Working directly for the Managing Director with overall responsibility for staff matters across circa 150 members of staff. The role forms part of the operational management team responsible for ensuring suitable capacity, staff motivation and adherence to policies. The role has administrative support from a shared admin resource.
Minimum three years’ experience of Human Resources Management
Thorough and up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation
Staff benefits administration and implementation
Delivering and improving staff engagement and motivation
Payroll processing (advantageous)
Consistent and improved process for staff recruitment and associated procedures
Adherence to government legislation, policies and procedures
Reduction in staff turnover
Improvement in measurable staff motivation
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Delivering a comprehensive HR service to the employees and management team
Reward advice and supporting employees and management on company benefits
Recruitment and retention: managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns
Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement and/or change
Policy and procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes
Performance management: coaching managers on performance management issues and processes
Learning and development: providing guidance on development for managers and their teams
Training: Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement
Employee relations, including managing absence, disciplinary, grievances and sickness
Ensure that the employees and management are updated and informed of latest HR information
Deliver suitable levels of rewards and benefits consistently and reviewed regularly
Work with managers and team leaders to ensure recruitment is carried out efficiently and effectively based on demands and operational requirements
Ensure employees maintain a high level of satisfaction and that changes required are managed and monitored
Ensure that the company stays compliant with regulations and that it adopts suitable procedures and policies relevant to the size of the organisation
Develop employees by coaching where there are performance and/or management issues
Ensure that employees and managers are sufficiently trained and educated to carry out their roles optimally.
Ensure that training is effective and required
Ensure that employees and managers receive the appropriate advice and feedback
