Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits (see below)
As a Senior Drupal Developer, you’ll be expected to work in project teams for enterprise clients. You should have a good understanding of multiple technical topics. Your team will expect you to be able to get through work with minimal supervision, and contribute to the project, as determined by your skills and ability.
Project sprints:Contributing to project sprints, by writing appropriate code and tests
Agile ceremonies:Attending and participating in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups and demos, and project and sprint retrospectives
PHP development:Undertaking PHP development work and finding answers to any problems that you encounter
Drupal modules:Extending Drupal with custom and community modules
Turnkey solution implementation:Implementing pre-built turnkey solutions such as Thunder and Lightning, Contenta, Reservoir, etc
Controllers:Creating controllers and associated routes, menus and permissions
Implementation management:Breaking down implementations into services within the DI container
Creating new and responding to Symphony events
Configuration split:Working with Configuration Split and/or other methodologies for dealing with differences in configuration requirements between environments.
About you:
Able to implement best practices iteratively to achieve the end goal
Capable of writing unit tests to an acceptable standard
Comfortable with at least one version control system, preferably Git
Familiar and comfortable with Drupal 7 and 8
Familiar with one or more popular open source frameworks/applicants, for example Zend Framework, Magento
Accustomed to some Linux administration knowledge
Flexible and adaptable when solving technical problems
Able to identify specific areas of a system where there is a performance issue
Able to operate to the companies processes and tooling
Experienced at producing code to a fast speed, without detriment to quality
Qualifications and Experience:
Be a certified Acquia Drupal Developer status (Drupal 7 or 8)
Have previous commercial development experience, ideally within several environments
Have experience of working on a variety of different sized and different duration projects
Have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience (preferable, but not mandatory)
Have experience of presenting at local Drupal community events, or DrupalCon (desirable, but not essential)
