Rate: £9.00-10.50ph + Overtime
Location: Near Peterborough
Responsible to: Production Supervisor/Operations Manager
Main objectives;
To run the stores department, booking in and out all subcontractors, recording vehicle movements.
Booking in all new chassis and checking for damage and specification is correct, ordering all stocked items and ensuring that stock levels are as required.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring the stores is managed and kept tidy
Attend production meeting and report vehicle movements
Keeping stock levels to Min-Max levels
Making sure parts are in for production
Managing the barrier booking in all subcontractors
Booking in all new vehicles checking for damage and checking specification.
Book out all vehicles making sure they are complete with all additional items.
Negotiate with smaller suppliers to obtain best cost prices
Communicate with yard men with deliveries
Booking in and checking all parts making sure correct items delivered are correct and complete
Updating call off sheets when parts delivered
Dealing with customers for parts at trade counter
Making sure parts are delivered to the bays
Picking kits from bill of materials
Stocktaking duties as required
Locking up the stores department at the end of day
