Product Engineer/Scientist – Civil & Structural  

Due to expanding work in the field of construction systems, opportunities have arisen for a number of forward thinking and enthusiastic engineers / scientists to work in the challenging and exciting field of product assessment and system certification.  

 

As a Product Engineer / Scientist, reporting to a Product Assessment Team Manager your primary duty will be to use your analytical skills in engineering/science to assess the performance of products and systems which will ultimately lead to certification.

 

Working with clients you will be an invaluable member of a team of people who are responsible for taking an innovative idea into a commercial reality. 

 

This responsible leading role will challenge and expand engineering knowledge in the field of construction system and product performance. You will need to possess the ability to assess new and innovative systems and products for use in the construction industry. 

 

Individuals, with appropriate qualifications but no experience of undertaking product assessments will be enrolled in our technical excellence academy where any knowledge deficits can be addressed.  

 

An excellent communicator, you will be capable of working in a team focussed on providing products and services underpinned by technical excellence. Driven by the need to deliver world class levels of client satisfaction, and possessing high levels of personal integrity, courage and passion, you will want to work in an environment which matches your values and where you will always be expected to do the right thing. 

 

Ideally you will hold a degree in structural / civil / mechanical engineering or a related subject and you will have a good knowledge of construction products, UK Building Regulations and be able to demonstrate an understanding of structural mechanics, material design and durability and have a sound knowledge of construction details.

 

It is essential that you are able to use the Microsoft family of production software. You must enjoy new technology and be excited by digital transformation projects. 

 

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the structural /civil/ mechanical/construction industry is required. 

 

Successful candidates can either choose to work five days per week in the Dublin or Watford office or work from home three days per week anywhere in the UK and work the remaining two days in either offices. 

 

A competitive salary with benefits will be offered, including matched pension contributions to 5%. Professional fees will paid, and an additional £2500 will be offered per annum to individuals possessing either C.Eng or C.Sc.
