This demanding and challenging position is designed to ensure my clients customer base receive the highest standard of application support, through detailed training sessions within the customers’ laboratory and additionally at the UK headquarters (in Milton Keynes).
The person in this position will be expected to provide significant input not only to the delivery of training courses but also the creation of training programmes, training content updates and advancement of delivery mediums and methods.
As this role is field based, a substantial amount of regular UK travel, hotel stays and time away from home is required in order to perform training to the expected standard and volume; Ultimately ensuring customers benefit from effective and efficient educational content from the Training Academy.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good technical and logical problem solving capability, have the ability to read and understand detailed scientific literature, have the ability to deliver presentations and training sessions using various methods and models, whilst performing essential administrative duties.
This position requires an outgoing and sociable individual with good time management, an attention to detail, customer focus, superb communication skills and a good grasp of information technology.
Measurement of strict Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensure that training courses are delivered effectively and efficiently.
The successful applicant must perform their job functions in line with the company’s expectations, and act as ambassadors for the company in all aspects of their work. All staff are expected to adhere to company’s quality and H & S policy at all times.
Although workload is typically based around instrument sales and follow-up training requests, the candidate must be self-motivated, creative and self-managing. Additionally the candidate must be consistent, adaptable, friendly, enthusiastic, methodical, confident and passionate in their job with good emotional intelligence connecting both with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications Education and Training
• Full Driving Licence
• BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science or Similar
• Training Qualifications or relative experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience working within a blood sciences laboratory
Desirable
• Regular training experience
• Greater than 2 years’ work experience in a blood science laboratory
• Experience of Laboratory IT systems
• Microsoft / CompTIA Certification
