Salary: up to £37,500 + company car, company bonus (up to £5,300 per year), 28 days’ holiday PLUS bank holidays, pension and a lot more
The Field Service Engineer position will support our current customer base/product portfolio in repairs, installations, preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, modification & upgrades and telephone support while having a strong focus and responsibility for the development of new service and support standards for our future customer base. It is essential to maintain maximum customer satisfaction by ensuring systems continue to operate not only within specification but above expectations, through technical excellence and direct customer communication.
Although work will be allocated based on instrument failure, PMI’s and customer demand the candidate must be self-motivated, a self-starter and self-managing. The Field Service Engineer will actively promote the company and its services to customers through pro-active customer support and customer focused activities. Additionally the individual must be consistent, adaptable, personable, enthusiastic and passionate in their job with good emotional intelligence connecting both with customers and colleagues.
Essential
· City and Guilds, HNC or equivalent in electronic and/or mechanical engineering
· Relevant/Transferable field service experience
· Comfortable with use and servicing of computers
· Must hold a full UK driving licence
· Excellent technical fault finding skills
· The ability to interpret technical diagrams
· Pro-active, personable and self-motivated in their approach to work
· Trustworthy and customer focused with excellent customer relationship skills
· Effective written and verbal communicator
· Prepared to own a problem and have pride in its resolution
· Job flexibility & willingness to travel – This is not a 9 to 5 role! Willing to support peers throughout the UK, and Eire as required
· General knowledge in MS Windows and Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Team player – focussed on team objectives and works to improve overall team effectiveness
Desirable
· Full clean driving licence
· Technical training on related instrumentation
· Hydraulic and pneumatic principles
· Has a desire to grow with the organisation, and to deliver ever better service to customers
· Meticulous, methodical & structured approach to work with attention to detail
· Training/mentoring skills

Hours of work: Shift pattern working 37.5 hours across 7 days – you will get two days off but this will not always be Saturday and Sunday
