Essential Requirements



·         Qualified to ACCA, ACA or equivalent



·         At least 2+ years post qualification accounting experience in a client-focused environment



·         Must have audit experience



·         Proven experience of producing statutory accounts



·         Up to date knowledge of auditing and accounting standards



·         Strong IT skills and knowledge of accounting systems



·         Time spent working in practice



 Role overview



Our client are seeking a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) to work within either their Bristol or London office. You will be a positive, professional and experienced accountant. Client service is paramount together with a high level of professionalism. You must be able to work on your own initiative to produce quality work on a timely basis. In addition, you should help to build am improved service offering in the department by contributing your time and expertise to the team.



The role will be to help develop the Accounting function within the group including the review of statutory financial accounts for client companies and Trusts in many jurisdictions, providing professional advice to clients on accounting matters and assisting with the management training and development of staff in the team.



Key responsibilities



·         Management of a team of accountants responsible for the preparation of both management and statutory accounts to UK audit and accounting standards



·         Responsibility for a book of clients (preparation of accounts, looking after and developing client relationships



·         Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness



·         Training and development of junior staff



·         Interact with auditors in completing audits



 Desirable



·         Proven experience of managing a team – highly desirable



·         Audit practising certificate holder



·         Experience in working with Non-UK Corporate and Offshore companies



·         Organisation skills



·         Team player



·         Excellent written, verbal and communication skills



·         Client care skills and service attitude



·         A professional and responsible attitude to client confidentiality



·         Able to meet tight deadlines



·         Quick learner



Job Title: Senior QUALIFIED Accountant

Salary: £45,000 + pension, bonus, healthcare

Locations: Can be based in Bristol (Harbourside Area – 15 minute walk from Temple Meads Station) OR London (Mayfair, near Grosvenor Square)

Hours of Work: 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday OR 9.30am to 5.30pm depending on location
