Our client are a healthcare software development company that build and deliver market leading applications in the integrated care record and population health space. They’ve recently been awarded “Outstanding” by Best Companies, earning a top 100 spot in the mid-sized companies category, amongst other accolades. Following recent successes of their solutions, they are looking to expand and continue to innovate in their space.
They are growing fast and looking to bring in highly skilled individuals to help continue their adoption of Azure native services and building a best-of-breed scalable SaaS platform for their solutions. To assist with the scale-up, they’re looking for a contractor with solid experience that can hit the ground running and help drive the technical best practices.
The person they are looking for will need to have 4+ years enterprise level experience with Azure, who can demonstrate a real passion for cloud technologies, with strong problem solving and critical thinking, good communication skills and technical leadership.
Working with the existing DevOps and TechOps teams, the individual will influence and deliver:
· Automation of infrastructure and software rollout using Azure DevOps pipelines, including quality gates such as peer reviews and SonarQube analysis
· Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform in a modular & re-usable fashion
· Design and develop automated scaling and failover using deep health checks and insights
· Input into the Cloud blueprint and migration of services, including best practice adoption for Azure PaaS solutions like AKS
· Continuous improvement and testing of DR/BCP to ensure high availability
· Implement effective monitoring and develop self-healing capabilities and/or management utilities for out-of-hours support teams

Experience & Skills Required:
· A thorough understanding of Azure PaaS components. Key areas:
o AKS (deployment + management)
o API Management
o App Services
o Azure SQL and MI
o Functions
o Networking
o App Insights
· Proven experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
· Solid understanding of:
o Terraform
o HELM charts
o PowerShell / Azure CLI
Advantageous:
· Healthcare or Government related industry experience
· Understanding of JIRA and Confluence
Qualifications:
· Microsoft certification(s) in Azure (such as AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-303/4/5)
