Salary: up to £55,000
The Integration Deployment and Support Teams function as members of Operation Teams within my client’s successful organisation.
The teams provide deployment resource to stakeholders both internal and external and 24/7 365 support to customers. The Integration Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the team delivers these services against defined deadlines and within project budgets.
There is a wide range of competences within the role hence the list below is indicative not exhaustive.
Responsibilities:
· To line manage a team of Integration Specialists and Support staff, including completion of PMP
· Authorisation of annual leave, ensuring adequate cover within the team
· Authorisation of time recording and expenses for the team, ensuring that time is recorded accurately and by the deadline each week
· Support allocation of staff to activities based on knowledge of skill set and staff availability
· Management of support team to facilitate resolution of Customer Issues against prescribed SLAs
· Assume responsibility on projects as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of EPR
· Integration and associated data exchange activities.
· Support analyses against EPR releases to ascertain potential impact on Integration and subsequent effect on projects currently being deployed.
· Work with design team and other workstream leads to validate approaches to Integration and Interoperability associated with EPR.
· Support and advise teams in other areas of a project, e.g., Data Migration, Communication with 3rd Party systems, Configuration, and impacts to Integration across work areas and design workaround solutions.
· Act as escalation point for integration issues raised during project deployment and post go-live and assign appropriately
Person Specification:
· Ability to direct the work of staff and respond to queries raised related to both work and pastoral care
· Complete understanding of the Integration and Interoperability lifecycle and the common issues experienced in relationship to these activities
· Previous experience of successful Integration and Interoperability
· Experience working in or for the NHS
· Several years’ experience working in or for a hospital IT department
· A deep understanding of HL7 and other integration standards, e.g., ITK, FHIR, JSON
· Knowledge and understanding of protocols used to secure sensitive data during transmission, e.g., TLS, Certificates
· An in-depth knowledge of hospital PAS and Clinical data
· Several years recent experience using and developing interfaces using Industry Standard Integration Engine, e.g., Rhapsody
· Experience of dealing with end users and technical support teams desirable
· A successful and proven track record in working to tight deadlines in a busy challenging environment
· Experience of dealing with clients and prioritising the outstanding tasks
Skills Required:
· Leadership / management skills and a team player
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills both orally and in writing
· Experience of the Project Management Process
· Experience of Service Desk and Incident in relation to a Customer Helpdesk
· Integration Domain Knowledge in one or more of following area
o Integration data exchange relating to Patient Lifecycle, e.g., Demographics and ADTs
o Order Comms
o Maternity
o PDS and eRS
· Knowledge of Integration Standards to include:
o HL7 v2.x and v3
o FHIR
o JSON / XML payloads for APIs/Web Services
o National Standard for Information Exchange, e.g., ITK
· Use of Industry Standard Integration Technologies
o Rhapsody, Ensemble, Mirth
o APIs / Web Services
· Knowledge of one or more of the following EPR/PAS systems
o CareFlow EPR
o iSoft iPM
o Cerner Millennium
o iSoft Lorenzo
· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of technical, non-technical, management and NHS staff
· Ability to organise and co-ordinate areas of work for yourself and others
· Self-starter with great determination and motivation to succeed
· Ability to influence, organise and plan
· Ability to work within project constraints to ensure that milestones and delivery dates are met
· Able to work away from home and willingness to travel
