Salary: up to £38,000
Our client are looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to support and take a leading role in the development and delivery of Marketing & BD plans in the firms central and northern regions ((Peterborough, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Leicester).
This particular role also includes leading, driving and supporting the delivery of the Agricultural, Farming & Food sector’s strategic marketing plans nationally.
The ideal candidate will feel confident to work with a Marketing Manager and partners to develop, drive and implement regional and national marketing and business development plans in a hands-on way, including supporting partners in managing their pipelines and report regularly on progress and achievements.
Qualifications and Skills
· Must have a marketing/business development background (either a degree/qualification or experience)
· Advantage to have experience of professional services industry
· Advantage to have experience in the Agricultural, Farming and Food sectors
· Advantage to have experience of working in a large firm
· Advantage to have hands on knowledge and experience of the power of social media and digital
· Able to build strong relationships at Partner level and provide valuable input into marketing strategy
· Must have a ‘hands on’ approach
· Able to manage conflicting priorities and consistently deliver high quality work to deadlines
· Experience in assisting the development, delivery and ROI of marketing campaigns
· Is a good communicator, has excellent presentation skills, takes the initiative and is hard working with a positive attitude
· Has the ability to prioritise effectively and works accurately and well under pressure and to tight deadlines
· Competent user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Creativity - the ability to come up with interesting ideas that adhere to brand values
Main responsibilities
· Working with the Central Region Marketing Manager, support with all aspects of Marketing, Events, BD and PR activities in the central and northern regions (Peterborough, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Leicester)
· Build and maintain relationships with partners to ensure timely and effective delivery of marketing and communication activities as required
· Forge close working relationships with the rest of the Marketing team to ensure a joined-up approach and best practise across the offices
· Develop close working relationships with the other network firms regarding the agriculture, food and farming sector
Marketing Events
· To work with the central regional marketing manager and partners to agree and plan both online and offline events, their purpose, target audience and budgets
· To organise events from concept to close utilizing other team members expertise to support you where necessary
· To set up / break down and attend functions as required and undertake any follow up work as necessary. E.g feedback is gathered from attendees, analysed and is followed up
· Ensuring ROI is maximised on all events and marketing activities
Direct Marketing
· Support general direct marketing campaigns and co-ordinate the delivery of all aspects of Agri, Food and Farming sector campaigns including:
o Data research, cleansing and analysis
o Digital campaigns
o Liaising with external suppliers
o Monitoring ROI and lead generation follow up
Business Development and sector related prospect targeting
· To agree targeting criteria with Partners, conduct or co-ordinate research, cleansing, information required for database and relevant digital comms
· To work with partners on managing and monitoring their prospect pipeline
· To work closely with our targeting specialists to ensure they have the right information in line with marketing plans to carry out their work
· Support with personalised targeting campaigns when necessary
· Report on marketing activity undertaken and leads generated
· Research potential prospects and competitors
· Cleanse, add and manage information on CCH database
· Support Agri, Food and Farming sector team with pitches and presentations
· Arrange Agri, Food and Farming referrer/networking meetings
· Manage relationships with various associations and organisations
Agri, Food and Farming marketing communications
· Liaise with digital team to manage Agri, Food and Farming sector related content on website
· Draft, Manage & Update Agri, Food and Farming sector budgets
· Assist in drafting annual Agri, Food and Farming marketing plans
· Manage external subscriptions to groups and/or other publications e.g. Farmer’s weekly/Farmer’s Guardian/ IAgrM/East of England etc.
· Assist Sector head with projects and tasks upon request
· Assist department with any other ad-hoc duties as requested
· Support with sector related PR – generating content ideas and liaising with the PR agency
Network firm’s relationship
· Provide liaison point between all member firms Agri sector team
· Arrange & manage Agri Conference
· Co-ordinate & distribute quarterly Agri newsletter / regular comms
· Draft & manage Agri budget
· Draft & manage Agri sector plan
· Liaison point between firms for Agri Sector
