Salary: up to £60,000
Our client are a software house and they provide clinical software (EPR/PAS) systems to the NHS and they are seeking a Head of PMO for manage their busy Programme office.
Our client have been established for over 30 years and are growing from strength to strength.
Person Specification:
· Degree educated or equivalent (significant work experience may be acceptable as a substitute for academic qualifications)
· Solid background in PMO, project and programme management
· Project Management methodologies – PRINCE2 an advantage
· Practical experience in the delivery of large-scale IT led business change projects
· A successful and proven track record in working to tight deadlines in a busy challenging environment
· Ability to work well within a team
· Experience of working in a consultancy role and/or communications with key stakeholders at board level in client organisations
Skills Required
· Advanced MSPP skills and advantage
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills both orally and in writing
· Good negotiating skills
· Good man management skills
· Good commercial awareness
· Able to communicate and organise effectively at all levels; management, clerical and clinical
· Ability to organise and co-ordinate areas of work for yourself and others
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and planning skills

· Able to work away from home and willingness to travel essential
Main Responsibilities
· Management of the Programme Office
· Line management of the PMO Team
· Establishing and ensuring effective project and programme governance and processes
· Set up structures of the PMO
· Supporting the programme office team in the delivery of projects
· Provide support and guidance to programme/project managers
· Prepare, produce, and present regular progress and dashboard reports
· Supporting risk and issue management, highlight reporting and project planning
· Responsible for keeping all project documentation up-to-date
· Drafting new, and improving existing project management office policies and processes.
· Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
· Reuse project learning and knowledge
· To be responsible for leading and supporting the building of a common set of project tools
· To be responsible for analysing interdependencies between projects and recommending actions to prioritise/revisit priorities to ensure delivery of best added value.
· Ensuring the application of a standardised approach to the management of projects
· Create and maintain a structured document management system for internal and customer facing material for the Deployment Business Unit
· Responsible for ISO 13485 compliance with Deployment
