Salary: up to £45,000 + 22 days holiday plus 8 bank holiday days, training and development, social events, company pension, cycle to work scheme, health and wellbeing benefits, chance to attend conferences and exhibitions, domestic and overseas
Our client is based in Maidstone town centre, they primarily run an exciting, popular website with a national presence and they are looking for a designer with UX and UI experience to join their growing team.
The role will require a passion for UX/UI with that being the primary focus but broader graphic design skills are desirable as there will be opportunities to design for social media, advertising and print.
Ideally you will be able to provide examples of your work. Experience is very valuable but they are open to talented and enthusiastic people looking for an opportunity so show them what you can do!
Key Responsibilities
· Design and prototype user experience solutions based on the requirements of the project.
· Create new and manage existing graphics assets.
· Communicate with the development team to see designs implemented.
· Strive to improve the product on an ongoing basis, carrying out usability testing identifying areas for improvement.
· Producing graphics for other departments (e.g. marketing) as a secondary focus.
Skills and Experience
· Experience designing for the web with a focus on UX/UI.
· Familiarity with software such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
· Skills in typography, layout and visual flair.
· Experience in prototyping and wireframing.
· A keen eye for detail.
· Highly advantageous but non-essential skills include knowledge of HTML/JS/CSS, animation and basic video editing.
