Hourly Rate: £11.84 PLUS holiday pay on top
This is a maternity cover position in addition to the existing team; the new employee will report to the Senior Quality Engineer. The hope is that by the end of the year there will be another permanent role available once the Maternity is over. You would naturally move to this role.
On the job training will be provided but you must have some experience in Quality Control.
Applicant Requirements:
· At least A level / HNC
· Conscientious and thorough
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Willing to comply with health and safety requirements e.g., wearing boiler suits, safety glasses, safety shoes, washing face on exiting work room. Will need to have pre-employment blood test.
· Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and computer literate
· Willing to use range of software.
· Flexible attitude
· Ability to work on early shift once introduced (6am start)
Job Description
Key Duties:
· Recording information on forms and on PC
· Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment to prevent contamination possibilities.
· Checking order details against specific customer requirements and factory capabilities
· Inspecting finished product and authorising it to be released to customers
· Highlighting any discrepancies between customer order and product
· Operating within an ISO9000 / IATF16949 environment (not essential to have this experience)
· Liaise with and help other departments.
· Complying to strict health and safety procedures
· Production of certificates of analysis
· Filing

Job Type: Temporary Contract / Maternity Cover (min 5 months) – The team hope to make a permanent appointment by the end of the year so naturally, if you are in the temporary role, there may be opportunity to move into the permanent role.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am to 3.15pm (40 hour week)
