Our client is seeking a senior dev with agency experience. They have already grown the team quite a bit this year; in December they had a Head. Senior and a Mid. As of June, they have Head, 2 Seniors and 4 Mids. They’ve filled a lot of skill gaps and are looking for final senior dev for this phase of recruitment.
As a lead generation company their website is their business, so their colleagues are their clients. Working with the whole team to deliver solutions and processes will be a large part of this role. This could be working with the digital team with a focus on our B2C users, or with the partner support team to help improve conversions for their partners.
They are currently working with an external company to migrate to AWS, so that will mean they can move to the latest versions of PHP, Symfony, Craft etc. once done. It'll hopefully open up possibilities for better pipelines. They have also recently started working with a CRO company, so there will likely be lots of projects centred around improving the user experience.
Our client would favour candidates who are already working in an office environment. THEY ARE NOT A REMOTE COMPANY and in the past, they have had issues with candidates saying they are happy to work in an office to then change their mind.
They are happy to meet candidates who are working remotely but you must be confident that you will be happy working in an office environment 5 days a week before interviewing.
YOUR CURRENT EXPERIENCE
· Training, coaching and mentoring developers
· Seeing through a project from conception to finished product Symfony or a similar framework
· Strong experience with GIT version control
· Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
· Familiar with package managers e.g. Composer/NPM
· Comfortable working with existing codebases
· Comfortable identifying and squashing bugs
· Excellent communication skills
· High attention to detail
About the role
Over the last few years the client have rewritten their lead generation engine API in Symfony, launched a partner dashboard in Vue3 and built an internal CRM. They have proven their business model can work for any service and are now growing the range of services they offer. They have already launched two services this year and the goal for the latter part of 2023 is to improve their infrastructure; by migrating to AWS, improving pipelines and getting test coverage up.
They are now looking for a passionate developer to help them take advantage of their new system and expand their offering. This is a fantastic time to join the as they start fresh on projects that they have been unable to consider until now.
The successful candidate will work closely with the existing dev team to continue building on the new foundation.
The current tech stack:
· Symfony 5 and Symfony 4
· API Platform
· Vue.js
· Craft CMS
· Webpack and Grunt
· MySQL and Doctrine
· HTML/SCSS/JS
Imminent projects include:
· Launching new services
· Extending the B2B dashboard to provide more autonomy for their partners
· Extending their internal CRM to aid the partner support team
· Upgrading their stack
· Consolidating build tools
· Writing a new suite of tests
