Salary: £32,000 to £40,000 depending on experience + benefits



This is an initial maternity leave cover position, however, there is potential for this to be a permanent appointment.

 

A fantastic opportunity to join an investment company with opportunity to learn about the industry and progress in this field.

 

Our client is an active Investment Manager based in Mayfair in the heart of London.

 

The current operations analyst is going on maternity leave, since the company is growing, they are looking for a candidate to cover her and potential to stay with the team if the company and candidate performance have good results. Ideally, you will be coming from another investment company with some industry knowledge. Being a small company your ability to multitask and embrace different tasks and projects is essential.

 

Must haves

 

·         Solid analytical and numerical skills – this is a technical role requiring strong excel skills

·         Excellent data management skills

·         Ability to Multitask

·         Ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders peers and colleagues

·         Good Microsoft Office skills

·         including Word/Excel/Teams

·         Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics

·         Basic knowledge of HMRC tax rules

·         Basic knowledge of VBA

·         Adaptable

·         Open-mindedness and ability to work with people at different levels

·         Interpersonal and communication skills and work well under pressure

·         Excellent time management

·         Able to manage and prioritise a high number of tasks and handle sensitive/confidential situations/ information

·         Professional fluency in both spoken and written English

 

In addition:

 

·         You will come from a numeric background and be confident with numbers

·         Possess basic logic and initiative

·         Understand business / investment terminology

·         Knowledge of international markets

·         Studied or worked in finance briefly

·         Finance Graduates will be considered

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Calculate management fees, and invoice clients and third parties in a timely manner.

·         Review costs applied to different clients' accounts, and address any discrepancies.

·         Help the finance teams to keep their books up to date (sales accounts, trade debtors and creditors).

·         Review the quarterly valuations and annual tax reports, addressing any potential issues.

·         Liaise with the custodians and other third parties to transfer assets promptly.

·         Implement new systems to obtain and analyse information to support our investment activities.

·         Open clients’ accounts and support other teams in providing excellent service to our clients.

·         Set up client profiles and provide assistance to access and navigate our client portal.

·         Work closely with the business to embed new processes and procedures to maintain client data in an efficient manner

·         Engage with the Investment Managers and other teams to ensure that data contained in their systems is accurate and complete.

·         Oversee the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of our office

·         Assist in the company's annual audit.
