An exciting opportunity for an Analytics Support Scrum Master of our clients Population Health Analytics division.

 

The focus of this post is to be responsible for the escalation team who undertake troubleshooting and rectifying live customer issues on our Microsoft Azure based Population Health Analytics platform. This is a hybrid role consisting of leadership, line management of the team, customer liaison, prioritisation, hands on data investigations and data engineering. The person will be required to use a variety of analytics technology including Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Databricks and Azure data factory. The team runs agile using a kanban board. We are seeking individuals with the enthusiasm and aptitude to providing solutions to complex problems. Experience of health data would be an advantage.

 

The Population health analytics team works at the forefront of the exciting transformation agenda within health and care, delivering population analytics solutions that allow health and care organisations to plan health and care services based on the true needs of their populations.

 

This role provides the successful candidate the chance to be involved in Population Health Analytics programmes covering 16 million of the UK population.

 

Professional Qualifications:

 

A degree in a related subject or equivalent experience.

 

Experience

 

Required:

 

·         Ability to work in a fast paced, responsive, customer support driven environment.

·         Experience of leading a team, including line management.

·         Practical experience of Agile Scrum methodology.

·         A minimum of 5 years hands on experience of using Microsoft technology stack:

o Advanced SQL including Azure

o Azure Data Factory

o General DBA work including performance tuning

·         Data warehouse design and development experience.

·         Hands on practical experience of using Microsoft Azure portal.

·         Hands on knowledge of security and permissions both within Azure and at the SQL Server level

·         Working in a professional development environment using source control, agile development and coding standards.

·         Experience of handling of large data volumes such as data tables over a billion records

·         Experience of collaborating with various stakeholders to prioritise work.

 

Desirable:

 

·         Knowledge of or work experience with health or social care data.

·         Understanding of Information Governance and GDPR

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Azure tools including:

o DevOps

o Azure Synapse

o Resource management templates

o PowerShell

o Automation accounts

·         Databricks

·         Python

·         Understanding of modern data visualisation tools e.g. Microsoft Power BI.

·         Experience of Population Health Analytics such as risk stratification and demand modelling.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·         Responsible for the general maintenance and monitoring live customer environments to provide a high level of service to our customers.

·         Facilitating the 3rd / 4th line Support team scrum and delegating tasks to Data Engineers and Analysts.

·         Prioritising issues in line with Customer needs and release cycles, liaising with Product Owner, Population Health Consultants and Service Desk Manager.

·         Fixing Defects and investigating issues.

·         Assist and unblock Support, Development, Analyst and QA team members.

·         Work with fellow Scrum Masters to resolve dependencies and issues.

·         Mentoring other team members and peer reviewing outputs.

·         Line management of team members.

·         Providing cover to other team leads including acting as Scrum Master for other teams on rotation as required.

·         Improving internal monitoring of Products.
