Salary: £34,000 to £36,5000 + Van (Business use only) fuel card, tablet, mobile phone, PPE and uniform all supplied, Continued training and support and excellent progression opportunities, excellent Health and Safety structure, 21 days paid annual leave (plus public holidays), Pension
Our client was formed in 1947 in Shropshire and has remained a privately owned family business ever since. With an unrivalled reputation within the building services sector, they offer a comprehensive electrical and mechanical design, installation and maintenance service across many sectors.
Due to continued contract growth, they are now in a position where they find themselves requiring additional experienced Compressor Engineer for their prestigious Contract on their Marham site, to undertake repairs and maintenance of the compressors systems.
Your experience
· Mechanical or electrical qualifications (we understand you may be qualified by experience)
· Previous compressor and pneumatic experience (ideal but not essential)
· Full UK driving license preferably clean
· Physically fit with plenty of energy
· Have the ability to be flexible as sometimes work may need to be out of normal hours
· Be confident with customers and own ability
· Basic organisation skills
· Enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Main responsibilities of the Compressor Engineer
· Servicing and maintenance of all types of air compressor (screw type, vane type and reciprocating) and ancillary equipment such as dryers and filtration, etc.
· Assistance with insurance inspections and preparation of vessels
· Installation of aluminium and galvanised steel pipework
· Diagnosis of faults and identify parts required
· Carry out repair work on site and in our workshop
· Breathing air tests
· Complete relevant paperwork in detail
· Installation and commissioning of industrial air compressors and equipment
Whilst this job description attempts to cover the main duties and responsibilities of the post, it is not exhaustive. The Compressor Engineer is therefore expected to undertake any other reasonable duties within their capabilities. Successful applicants will be expected to be part of the on-call rota.
