Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits including 25 days’ holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension etc.
My client is seeking a Qualified Accountant (maybe from an Audit background) with experience of preparing financial statements under IFRS to work in a small team within Finance responsible for External Financial Reporting.
The role will require you to providesupport and analysis to the Firm’s Finance leadership on various matters including acquisitions, disposals restricting and considering the impact of changes in International Accounting Standards.
The Financial Accountant role will include the following activities:
· Responsibility for the completion of the statutory accounts of a number of UK subsidiaries prepared under FRS102
· Supporting the Swiss finance team in the preparation of the Swiss subsidiary accounts prepared under Swiss GAAP.
· Supporting the team around the year end in completing the group and parent entity accounts, prepared under IFRS
· Collation and review of financial information to be provided to our external auditors, BDO. Liaison with other teams; Tax, Management accounts, Share Service Organisation and other finance teams will be a key requirement
· Supporting the team around the review and implementation of an updated Sap system
· Providing support on the accounting for acquisitions, re-organisations and other transactions and other ad-hoc projects
To qualify for the role you must:
· Be a qualified accountant
· Good financial accounts technical knowledge and understanding particularly around IFRS and FRS102 requirements
· Strong technical and analytical skills with an ability to work accurately under pressure
· Experience of SAPwould be an advantage
· A high degree of computer literacy and good spreadsheet skills
· The ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to work on own initiative when required
· Clear communication skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with at all levels within the Firm
· A proactive hands-on approach and a "can do" attitude
