Salary: £20,000 to £25,000 DOE



The purpose of this role is to assist the IT Operations Manager with on-going maintenance and development of the firm’s primary time / fees integrated database application and directly related software.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

•    To oversee and assist with on-going data cleansing and entry of missing data, investigating incoming queries

•    To oversee quality assurance checks

•    Design and run MS Query / SQL script processes as required for ad-hoc jobs as required

•    Aid in integration of other firm software with the time / fees system

•    Ensure consistency of data between systems used within the firm

•    Assist in training of users on time / fees system and Document Management

•    Establish application and system processes for offices

•    Assist with on-going data cleansing of financial reports

•    Maintain and update relevant user guides as necessary

 

Essential skills:

 

•    Microsoft Word skills

•    Microsoft Excel skills – Advanced (pivot tables, v-lookups and MS Query)

•    Microsoft Outlook

•    Interest in SQL / relational databases

 

Desirable skill/knowledge:

 

•    Reporting or financial background useful

 

Soft Skills:

 

•    Good communicator; via telephone, face to face and in written communications

•    Customer & business focused

•    Strong attention to detail

•    Able to liaise with users, asking appropriate questions to understand the nature of the problem and provide appropriate solutions

•    Helpful team member

•    Problem solver
