Salary: £28,000 to £33,000 DOE + 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension (contributions matched up to 6%), life assurance + more
Administration Manager - Invoicing / Accounts Payable - It is expected that you will have a good understanding of invoicing and the invoicing process and that you will have been responsible for ensuring that HIGH VOLUME invoices are processed by your team, accurately and within given timescales.
An excellent opportunity to join an established organisation with a worldwide presence and a newly refurbished office in Milton Keynes. You will be responsible for two direct reports (team leaders) and a team of 10 in total.
We are really keen to hear from managers that monitor productivity, and are able to handle large volumes of invoices, if you have worked in a fast-paced environment and are process driven (KPI / SLA) then this is the role for you.
Job Purpose
To manage the Admin team(s) ensuring suppliers are paid accurately, in a timely manner and to maintain supplier relationships. To be responsible for the development of the team and continuous improvement of processes.
Principle Accountabilities/Tasks
• Oversee day-to-day management of the Administration team(s) – locations include Milton Keynes and remote management of a team in Rainham, Essex (with occasional travel to this site)
• Manage supplier and InterCompany accounts, ensuring that invoices are processed promptly, to enable payments to be made on time
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Respond to all internal and supplier queries in a timely manner, update query records accurately
• Continuously review and improve processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Establish and monitor key performance indicator targets to drive service performance
• Perform Personal Development Reviews with the Admin Supervisors, ensuring KPI targets are met
• Any other ad hoc duties as requested by management
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills & Experience – including technical competencies
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Experience of staff management
• Ability to review processes and implement positive change
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Efficient and organised
• Excellent communication skills across all levels and disciplines
• Experience of working in multisite locations
• Good computer and excel skills
• Experience within the logistics or freight forwarding industry an advantage
