Key Account Manager

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager your job purpose is to develop and motivate the Key Accounts team based within the International Freight Forwarding Division of this international client.

You will enhance the service delivery to a major Key Account client to ensure all service level targets are consistently achieved, and new business opportunities identified that increase margin contribution. 

You will deliver robust and efficient process solutions to internal and external customers.

In short, we are looking for the following experience:

Team management / supervisory experience (small team of 4) including

Managing & motivating the Key Account team, provide a programme of personal

development, one-to-one support, personal development and recruitment up to team lead

level

Experience of managing relationships with clients

Responsible for ensuring the Key Accounts team execute all client service requirements on-

time and accurately as set out in the client Standard Operating Procedures and Service-Level

Agreements. Develop and maintain KPI’s that ensure consistent achievement of agreed  

company and client service-level targets. Deliver measurable supplier service improvements

both in terms of cost and performance

In addition:

·         Strong organisation skills (of yourself and your team)

·         Competence in MS Excel is required for reporting purposes

·         Data management and some analysis (ensuring accuracy)

·         Work under pressure in a busy environment

·         Drive processes and ensure adherence to KPI’s

·         Supply Chain / Freight Forwarding / Ocean Import experience – some knowledge in these areas are preferred but not essential (if you understand logistics)

·         Some experience of working on projects is desirable but not essential
