Responsibilities
As typical with my clients’ organisation, the team work in a highly agile and flexible way, supporting a diverse range of client, business and technical requirements.
As a Cloud Solutions Architect you will:
· Understand what it takes to deliver and support high quality solutions that align to the needs of clients based on the AWS platform;
· Be passionate about Cloud technology and Cloud adoption, constantly evaluating new services and acting as an evangelist across the business;
· Be a problem solver, troubleshooting and improving existing DevOps processes as well as providing support and advice for development teams;
· Be curious and want to develop your knowledge of current and future technologies and how they can be leveraged;
· Liaise closely with the Cloud team to ensure platforms align with company and global standards.
Essential:
· Experience in building platforms in AWS (preferably server less application stacks);
· Experience of automation and provisioning approaches, using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, CloudFormation or similar;
· Knowledge of agile software development tools and methodologies (Continuous integration, GitHub, Team city or similar;
· Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations.
Desirable:
· AWS qualifications to support knowledge
· Design and implementation of “secure by design” systems (including encryption and MFA integration)
· Experience of development or scripting
· Experience with container-based development approaches

Hours of work: Standard office hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday but flexible working is possible as is the option to work from home 1 / 2 times per week
