Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 DOE + 25 days holiday, 8 bank holiday days and an additional day near Christmas + Pensions, Insurance, Bonus and LOTS more
My client is seeking a people person interested in learning the latest trends in technology. You will be expected to bring best of the class ideas, methods technologies to support my clients stakeholder’s business model.
Your role
As Subject Matter Expert, you need to know not only the technology we provide, but also the processes we enable to stakeholders and their business model. You need to have awareness of SAP, and understanding of both SaaS platforms and bespoke applications.
Ability to acquire knowledge of business processes, using common business language and translate them into technical requirements and vice-versa.
· Balance priority of projects, functional change requests and support items
· Participation in the end-to-end life-cycle of enhancement work, from the initial analysis to implementation and ongoing support
· Specification and testing of system enhancements where the capability of the standard software does not meet the business requirements
· Enable the area strategy of reducing costs by increasing maintainability of your products. This means proactively working to reduce the support team backlog
· Accountable for the 3rd for the HCM solution (Personnel Administration, Organisation Management, Personnel Development, Recruitment, Training + Events, Flexible Benefits, Payroll, ESS and EIC) which is low in volume but can be complex in nature
· Implement and validate company standards, regulatory and statutory requirements
Skills required
Essential:
· Minimum 3 years SAP HCM and UK Payroll configuration, enhancement and support knowledge preferably gained from working in a similar role or on-site as a functional consultant. Transferable skills from other SAP domains are also considered
· Team management / lead experience
· Knowledge and understanding of Personnel and Dynamic Actions, including SAP Features
· Experience of full software development lifecycle: from requirement analysis, estimation and design to support to production
· Problem management skills
· Logical, methodical, solutions-orientated mind set. Able to gather data to present a point or contribute to a solution
