Developer (PHP, Back End, Full Stack)

The Developer will work alongside the existing programmers to enhance our bespoke systems, fix glitches, and use initiative to provide ideas for better user performance.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• 
  Work on existing code, resolving issues and enhancing it; creating new code and integrations to third party applications


• 
  Working within the Company to develop new ideas and take ownership of projects to completion


• 
  Proactively improving programming knowledge


• 
  Input to all parts of the development life-cycle (analysis, design, development, implementation and support)


• 
  Maintain an up to date knowledge of coding and programme developments in the industry


• 
  Create clean, documental code


• 
  Any ad-hoc tasks as required

The successful candidate will have/be:

• 
  Proven commercial coding experience


• 
  Strong in PHP, Full Stack and/or Back End developing


• 
  Demonstrate software developing


• 
  Working knowledge of PHP, SQL, Web Development, Javascript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, MySQL, TSQL, Linux, Windows Server, IIS, Webhooks, Restful API's, Crystal Reports Design


• 
  Proven experience of working within a similar role


• 
  Excellent time management and prioritising skills


• 
  Ability to work on own initiative and in a small team


• 
  Excellent communication and organisational skills


• 
  Excellent attention to detail, whilst working under pressure


• 
  Ability to work on strict deadlines


• 
  Problem solving skills

Experience with and troubleshooting knowledge of:

• 
  Must have 5 - 6 years commercial experience


• 
  Strong in PHP, Full Stack and/or Back End developing


• 
  PHP Developer: 3 Years


• 
  Proven commercial coding experience

Team of 6 Programmers. Company has 130 staff.

Free onsite parking.

Interview 1 stage, competency test 40 mins followed by a face to face interview.

They will consider people commuting from surrounding areas like Newton/St Albans etc.

Working hours 08:30-17:30 (may consider someone who needs to work flexi time within reason and would need to be discussed)
