A fantastic opportunity to join this expanding team based in Horsham. There is opportunity for ambitious candidates to mentor, and support the growth, taking on more responsibility. You will be part of a lovely team, with some very long-standing members. A lot of support and training is available.

 

This team works on the Business Application side. The product is quite old, hence the need to bring in some C# experts and re-write it.  You will be able to liaise with the team looking after the technical frameworks. Understanding of business process is key for this position.

 

Job Description

 

This will include the full development cycle for product enhancements and extensions, funded work and support, building quality line-of-business applications within a larger framework. You will be expected to liaise with consultants, support analysts and QA staff in this role. You are part architect, part designer, part coder. You take the user-stories from the product owners and turn them into working code. You will be heavily involved in the design of the features covering functional, technical and UX aspects. You will work closely with the product owner and the rest of the products team.   The Summit system is a three-tier thin client system, supplied with Oracle or SQL server and in-house Desktop and Web clients. It is part of a wider set of technologies used to deliver a rich experience to our customers. These include; C++, C#, ASP.net, Java, and other web technologies including HTML5.  

 

Skills required

 

·         At least 3-5 years C#. Net experience

·         Experience of developing ERP, accounting, CRM or other business management systems

·         Experience of MS SQL Server

·         Proficient in XML/HTML/CSS with some exposure to responsive design.

·         Proficient in relational databases and schema design.

·         Have the ability to work on own initiative and manage ambiguity.

·         A professional, dynamic and positive attitude

·         A keen eye for quality and exceptional attention to detail

·         Excellent and confident inter-personal skills so that you can work effectively with members of the team 

 

Desirable Skills

 

·         Construction software business process knowledge

·         Experience of Oracle
