Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 Depending on experience + excellent benefits including bonus, pension, 25 days holiday PLUS bank holiday + one more near Christmas.

As an Automation Software Tester, you will:

 

·         Work alongside other test professionals to define and create Automated test cases, while aligning with existing QA processes

·         Strengthen the QA effort by providing technical insight into Automation Testing - specifically using Selenium with C# - and successfully applying best practice

·         Continue to deliver robust and reliable testing, working with the development team to adhere to (and increase the quality of) coding standards

·         Contribute to individual area of expertise, work products and standards including hands-on testing where necessary

·         Continue to generate efficient and effective test plans, using the tools, techniques and environments at your disposal to meet product test requirements

·         Be flexible in your approach to Manual Testing, and perform test case reviews with the Test Lead

·         Be tenacious in your pursuit of software quality, and ensure the team understands the importance of appropriate testing, automation, and software design

·         Ensure team’s understanding of business goals, priorities, and how they align with customer needs and business direction

·         Stay abreast of testing best practices, technology trends, tools and frameworks

·         Work collaboratively with both the QA and Engineering teams

 

Experience of the following is required:

 

·         Software development testing (minimum of 4 years, with at least 2 years in automation)

·         Comprehensive understanding of Automated Testing best practices, Selenium C#

·         Working with virtual environments and tools e.g. AWS, Microsoft Hyper-V, specifically triggering automated tests including build-up and tear-down of environments

·         In-depth knowledge of industry leading software test case management tools

·         Implementing test plans and strategies in the successful delivery of complex and challenging software products

·         Complete understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts in the field

·         Developing tests for functional and regression testing that includes manual, automated, performance and ad-hoc testing

·         Experience of responsive cross-browser testing

·         Experience of working with Agile (Kanban and/or Scrum) delivery methodologies

 

Desirable:

 

·         TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration and release management

·         Confluence and JIRA

·         Working with creative teams

·         Software development

·         Knowledge of web standards and experience testing REST based APIs

 


Job Title: Automation Tester (Mid to Senior Level)



Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire



Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 Depending on experience + excellent benefits including bonus, pension, 25 days holiday PLUS bank holiday + one more near Christmas.



Hours of work: Standard are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm – some flexibility and Agile ways of working once embedded into the role
