Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 DOE + Benefits

 

Experience Required:

PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or a similar field

Advanced knowledge of Python or R

Hands on practical experience of using cloud Data Science tools

Experience of acting as principal investigator on research project projects



 Key responsibilities:

• Design of Data Science models to provide solutions to Population Health issues

• Creation of Population Health Analytics software using the Microsoft Azure cloud toolkit

• Liaising with customers in the design and scoping of Data Science models

• Collaborating with leading academic institutions

• Maintain a strong academic standing

• Providing customer consultancy as required



Desirable:



  • Healthcare domain experience


  • Has multiple academic publications


  • Experience of working with customers to apply Data Science as a solution to a problem


  • Completion of a Health Data Science project from concept to live use


  • Experience of Population Health Analytics such as risk stratification and demand modelling


  • Experience of managing the relationship with an academic partner


  • Microsoft Azure Data Science tools




The Employer, asoftware house committed to providing clinical software solutions to the healthcare sector is seeking a permanent Senior Data Scientist to work within the Population Health Analytics Team. The person will be required to take on a variety of Data Science model development using Azure Machine Learning. The role will require the individual to be flexible and may involve travel to customer sites. The role will work closely with other teams within the organisationto integrate Data Science as decision support for clinicians and patients.
